Rosamond

Wow! This week flew by! We had a great veteran team in Memphis this week, from the First Baptist Church of Paris. They have been our awesome partners in ministry since way back in 2016. Every year they bring tons of energy and love to the kids at Rosamond! We overcame the heat this week and still had a week-high of 30 kids at Bible club. FBC taught Bible lessons on temptation all week, starting out with the story of Adam and Eve on Monday and then continuing throughout the rest of the week with other Bible stories on temptation, sin, and repentance. The craft station was popping with summertime tropical snow globes, coloring beach balls, prayer boxes, and some pretty sweet slap bracelets. Songs looked so much fun, everyone had bunches of energy and danced right up until the whistle blew before rotating to the next station. Games were a blast with some classics like Duck Duck Goose, Mr. Bear, Sharks and Minnows, and even some obstacle course relay races for the older groups. Thank y’all so much for taking time out of your summer to drive all the way down from Illinois, to help serve our kids here in Memphis. I hope our FBC Paris family had as much fun as I did and continues to come for many more years!

Guernsey

We had such a fun week at Bible Club Guernsey with Valley View Baptist Church! We hit our summer high of 26 kids on Wednesday! All throughout the week the kids were learning how they can lead like Moses, trust like Joshua, obey like King Hezekiah, be brave like Ester, and how to love like Jesus. At crafts station, they made the Red Sea that Moses crossed, a horn to march around Jericho with, a crown to remind them how King Hezekiah obeyed the Lord even though his father didn’t, an Ester puppet, and a bookmark for the Bibles they took home of Friday! Not only were the kids able to take a Bible home, they learned how to use it each day during Bible Skills station. They learned about the table of contents, how to find the books, what the “big numbers” and “little numbers” mean, and got to practice looking up many verses each day! It made me so proud to see the kids excited about using the Bible! Games station played themed games each day to help the kids further understand the Bible story. They played Fan Away and Jump the Creek to show how the Israelites had to leave Egypt and cross the Red Sea, a blindfolded obstacle course to show how Joshua had to trust God while he was marching around Jericho, a courage relay race, and a balloon obstacle to show them the courage and bravery Ester had to have. Thank you so much to Valley View for always bringing so much LOVE and JOY to the kiddos in Memphis. It was a pleasure to SERVE with you!

Pope

WHAT. A. WEEK! Faith Community joined us at Pope this week bringing a high of twenty-one kids! Crafts had a science twist to it, where our kids made helicopters, parachutes, whistles, and created other experiments that related back to the Bible story. Games brought laughter and giggles with sharks and menos, soccer, duck duck goose, and more! Songs were so loud it could be heard all across Memphis! The kids continued to show off their dance moves with the church clap while also singing songs about how "our God is the King of the Universe, the Jungle, the Sea and Me!" They also learned a song about how our God is so big and so mighty, you could hear this one being hummed all across Bible Club! Bible Story held the attention of all of the kiddos, especially our older boys! They asked so many detailed questions and were amazed at how each Bible story came to life. It is so amazing to see what God is doing in our kids and families at Pope. Our kids are ready for what the rest of the summer will hold! Thank you Faith Community for loving the kiddos so well!

Johnson

Hello again, friends! Welcome back to another fantastic week at Bible Club Johnson! Despite missing a week, despite being unable to walk one of our routes, and despite some very hot weather, the Lord did some amazing things like giving us an average of 20 children each day to love on and minister to. Redeemer Community Church from Arkansas was in town this week teaching our children about the Lord's prayer, who God is, and what it means to pray. I loved seeing their games and crafts and other activities all centered around each day's lesson; a different part of Jesus' prayer. My favorite part, though, was watching the neighborhood kids learn the motions to a song written straight from the Lord's Prayer. Seeing children that hesitate to join in on Monday become a singing and dancing chorus line by Friday was so much fun to behold. And not only do they KNOW the words in their heads, but that music continues to ring in their hearts. Hearing them hum and sing the song in other stations and on the walking routes home means that for years to come, they will be able to remember that song and know the Lord's prayer - that God is king; that He provides everything we need; that he delivers us from temptation and evil. Continue to pray for these kids as our summer continues. Pray for salvation and the growth of our Bible Club so that even more children will come to enjoy the Lord's presence and learn of His wondrous deeds. Thanks so much, Redeemer Church, for all the love you poured out this week, and thanks to everyone who has been supporting our frontlines through prayer! With half a summer left, I cannot wait to see what amazing things God has in store next.

The kid’s favorite games were, duck duck goose, freeze tag, and dodgeball! Crafts was a huge hit all week! All week the kids were able to be reminded of God’s promises. From building Noah’s Ark to making a rainbow, a Manger scene, a sheep, and a visor! It was amazing to see how excited the kids got from learning all week about the continued promises that God has given us. All this week I was constantly reminded of Matthew 19:14, But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” Thank you, Fayetteville, for meeting our kids where they are at, and for showing our kids Jesus’ love all week!!

National

Week 4 at National was an absolute blast! We are so thankful for the group from FBC Dubois that came to serve at Street Reach this past week. They had so much energy, were so encouraging, and loved the kids with everything they had! Our friends from Dubois, Pennsylvania were not shy in sharing the Gospel with the kids at National all week. The Bible story progressed each day, focusing on our need for a Savior and how we can accept Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Savior. Kids of all ages were having a great time using the parachute at the games station, and at songs, everyone sang and danced to “Every Move I Make” and “My Lighthouse”! We were so blessed to have had the chance to serve alongside the folks from Dubois and loved getting the chance to see the relationships that were built between them and all of the kids. Thank y’all so much for your love, boldness, and energy! We are so pumped to see what The Lord does at Highland Park throughout the rest of the summer!

Whittier

New Heights Baptist Church was such an amazing team to serve with this week, and loved their time at Whittier! From coming in not knowing what to expect, it was incredible to see the team adapt quickly and grow a true passion for Bible Club. The kids had a ton of fun at Songs as they were allowed to request their own dance music to play Hot Potato and Ninja too. Bible Stories was a hit, and the kids were incredibly engaged by reading along for themselves and looking at a picture book version of the Bible. The kids went crazy at Games trying to find the “bone” and were super grateful for the tents the team brought as God turned on the heat! And lastly, Crafts was a huge success; the kids loved the variety of stickers, markers, and chalk and were so excited every day to bring home necklaces and bracelets that had beads representing the Gospel message. New Heights was a champion team and willingly walked during the hottest days to the furthest places to bring kids to club. So grateful for the love this team showed and the work they put in, can’t wait to see them again next year!

The kids had a blast learning about the fullness of God's forgiveness through stories from Adam and Eve, the Prodigal Son, and Achan's sin. Rosamond

“Hey Hey! Ho Ho! Rosamond’s got soul!” Rosamond had so much soul this week. Big thank you to Christ Church for driving all the way down from Fairview, Illinois. This week has flown by! This was Christ Church’s third year serving with us here in Memphis, and we are extremely grateful to have them. They came well-prepared as they always do. With fancy binders for each station, along with coordinated crafts to go with the bible stories, the week went smoothly without a hitch. The team pulled out their awesome binders and taught the kids a number of different Bible stories including the passage in Luke 24 about the road to Emmaus. Which was an awesome reminder and proof of Jesus’ resurrection! Their coordinated craft was an example of a sandal-type shoe that the men would have worn on the road to Emmaus, each kid was able to color it any way they wanted. Thank you again to Christ Church for spending time serving alongside us at Rosamond this week! We really appreciate all the time and effort you put in helping us reach the children in this neighborhood and we even had a week high of 34 kids!

-Ben and Jae

National

N to the A to the T I O N, A to the L yeah we ready to go into week 3!! We were so excited to have Destin United Methodist Church come in to be with us. Thank you Destin for how much your prepared for our kids and for all of the love you poured out into our community. The kids were focused on Bible Story as the stories were told (in both English and Spanish!) and as props were being used to make the stories come to life. One of our favorite days of Bible Club was when they shared the story about God providing manna from Heaven when He brought the Israelites out of Egypt, and they had an amazing craft to go with it! They made poppers with puffballs and the kids enjoyed watching their “food” rain down all Bible Club long. And at Songs this week, the kids learned some new songs but also threw it back to one of their favorites—“Priceless Treasure”. Plus, it was so sweet seeing the kids teach some of the newer kiddos the moves this week. They did not want their friends to get behind! Then, at Games, we played Four Corners, Simon Says, kickball, Sharks & Minnows, and so much more! It was a blast getting to have Bible Club, and we are looking forward to the rest of the summer. So many kids have grown in their faith and maturity over the past few weeks (and years!), which is such a blessing to get to see. Thank you to everyone and to Destin UMC for planting seeds and walking alongside us and these kiddos. God is doing a great work at National, and He is not done yet!! Cannot wait to see what week 4 has in store!

Kendrick

KENDRICK! WHAT! Faith Community Church kicked off Week 2 of Bible Club Kendrick with a bang! We had a high of 27 kids again this week and met a ton of new faces. The kids learned about how God protects us and keeps us safe, how He loves us, and how He forgives us of our sins. Faith Community brought science into their craft stations to create cool experiments and projects for kids to correlate with the lessons each day. Watching the kids' faces and reactions to the experiments this week was priceless! Faith Community has come for a couple of years now and watching them reconnect with kids and for the kids to remember them is always so heartwarming to be a part of. I’m so thankful for Faith Community’s love that they poured out for the kids and the community this week and I’m so excited to spend ANOTHER week with them!

-Jess & Lucas

Whittier

This week was incredible as Faith Community Church spent its first week at Whit Vegas and rocked it. The speakers were cranked and the kids loved learning the motions to Church Clap and King of the Jungle. Bible Stories was in full color and full throttle as the kids were taught through vibrant pictures about God’s miracles, such as Naaman’s healing and the parting of the Red Sea. Games was a blast, and a new hit favorite game was born: Hide the Lemon. Science Station bent the mind of even the team members running it as Crafts Station was taken to a higher level. The kids were sent home with fun oddities like homemade hovercrafts and ramshackle bubble wands. All in all, the week was a blast for every kid and every team member. The mud couldn’t stop the fun, and the only complaints we heard from the team was about the lack of cheese curds. So glad Faith Community helped us serve this week, especially with such a godly attitude, and we are privileged to have them work another site next week!

-Jo & Chip

Jackson

Week 3 was so much fun with FBC Picayune! The kids were learning so much during Bible story every day. Each day, the team taught the kids a new name of God and their meanings including protector, provider, healer, shepherd, and creator. All of the groups could shout out the meanings and names, and it was so great to watch! They also sang mini Bible verse songs to help them remember the daily verses. Relays and the captain game were great additions to games stations this week that the kids were obsessed with! Egg shakers and puppy puppets made each kid feel so included and excited in songs this week. They will be requesting the chicken song for the rest of the summer! Crafts did so great by choosing some of the best crafts that I’ve ever seen at club. The kids put so much care and detail into their crafts every day. It was very special to watch and jump in with the fun. Thank you for working so hard every day and bringing new kids to Bible club this week. We loved having you here! Thanks again to FBC Picayune!

Guernsey

The cool kids were definitely hanging out on G-Street this week with both Guernsey and Pope joining together for club this week! Northwest Bible Church came all the way from Texas, and brought so much energy to club! This week in Bible Story the kids learned all about the names of God. Yahweh, Elohim, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Rophe, and Jehovah Rohi. They learned that they can acknowledge that God is eternal, trust God to protect them, trust God to provide for their needs, know that healing comes from God, and how they can trust that God loves them and cares for them!! Songs station was a huge party all week with fun songs like Peanut Butter Jelly Time, Church Clap, and the Cupid Shuffle! At crafts station, they made “stain glass” window crosses, a burning bush, and a sheep to remind them that the Lord is our Shepherd! Games station kept it moving with Mr. Fox, duck duck animal, and kickball! We are so thankful for everything Northwest did during their time in Memphis this week! Please continue to pray for the G-Street kiddos as we head into week 4!

Rosamond

Week two has come to an end at Bible Club Rosamond. Amazing week with a great turnout from the community kiddos! We dodged the rain for the most part, and had pretty consistent attendance throughout the week. With numbers even breaking 30 on multiple days this week. When you have a team as great as Fellowship Bible the kids come out in droves! The kids loved rehearsing the Bible truths each day and the Bible lessons from Psalm 23 were extremely well taught. Songs station was a blast with musical dots, red light green light, and even a prayerful reflecting worship station after gospel discussions on Wednesday. Games had fun with water games on the warmer days and a big water fight on Friday! Crafts had a variety of sheep-related projects to remind us that we are all protected and guided by our good Shepherd Jesus. This week was made so great by the incredible intentionality of the Fellowship Bible team members, you could see from a block away how much they loved each and every one of the kids! Big thank you to Fellowship Bible and all of those who came out to serve with us this week in Memphis.

-Ben, Jae, and John

Guernsey

What an amazing week we had a Bible Club Guernsey this week with Broad River! The team loved the kids so well! Bible Story was a hit all week with Mrs. Brook! Each story was complete with props and costumes! On Thursday the kids learned about Jonah and the big fish, and each got to put on a costume and climb in the boat with Jonah! Crafts station was so fun! The kid’s favorite craft of the week was when they got to decorate their very own frisbee! Games station cooled down in the hot sun with water games. Each kid got a squirt bottle and closed their eyes spraying each other as their partner led them around! They also loved getting to play connect four, uno, and relays! We ended the week with a backpack giveaway! The kids got their very own backpack full of snacks! Thank you so much, Broad River for coming year after year to love on the people of Memphis!

-Mitch and Ailey

Pope

What an amazing week it was at Bible Club Pope. Not even the rain could keep the kids from coming out and hearing about Jesus. Pope had a high of 34 kids this week. Silverdale Baptist Church brought it at songs with Church Clap, call and response, and homemade maracas! Crafts left a huge impact on Pope by making door hangers, which you can see hanging as you walk routes, and used lots and lots of glitter! Our kids listened so intently at Bible Story as they learned the stories of Esther, Gideon, Jonah and the Whale, Deborah, and Ruth. They learned the value of helping others to show Jesus and that the Lord is our Comforter so we should not fear! Games played duck duck goose and introduced our kids to new games as well! What a fun week! We are so excited and cannot wait for week three and the rest of the summer!

-Kameron and Emma

Leahy’s

Thank you,

-Mackenzie and Judy

Johnson

Welcome back to Street Reach Johnson where the second verse is even better than the first! Week 2 at Johnson was so incredibly fun and even more incredible was watching God work in the lives of children and community members. Huge thanks to our missionaries from Silverdale Church for unleashing their energy and their love onto the community and these children. They showed the children that they wanted to be entirely present with God at every moment; or as they put it - "All in! All the time!"

We had a high of 37 children on Monday and an average of 32 throughout the week. Watching those kids make glitter art, play homemade maracas at songs, and cheer on the Israelites fight their enemies at Bible story were so enjoyable to watch. But my favorite moments were the quiet ones. I got to watch children teach our leaders some Spanish Bible songs. We watched children actually invite friends and cousins to Bible club because they were having so much fun. We even heard from moms, grandparents, and even neighbors vocalizing just how much they appreciate the good works that missionaries like Silverdale and so many others do for them and their kids and their neighborhood. In John 13:35 Christ tells us that the proof that we belong to Him is found within our love for others. "They will know you are my disciples by your love." Oh what a blessing it was to see that love, that evidence, and bear witness to the lost making note of it. Please continue to pray for this community, that God pours out His life changing love onto every corner and every street, and that He send more missionaries to carry his gospel at Bible Club Johnson. #BestBibleClub

-Kaden

Que-Que

Week 2 at Que Que was amazing and Journey Church was so engaged with the children!!! Praise God for Journey Church they were a very special team to work with. All of the stations that the team planned were so creative and involved. Especially the parachute they brought, the bracelets they made for crafts, the well-told Bible stories, and all the different games they played. Personally, we loved seeing how all the team members make relationships with the children and how they were able to share the love of Jesus with them. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve alongside Journey Church this past week. Please pray for the incoming teams' wisdom and strength as well as all of the staff members too. Go QUE QUE!!!

“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.” Isaiah 58:12

National

What a special week at National! Thank you so much Forest Hills for coming to love on some amazing kiddos! We had so much fun dancing and playing games with the guitar at Songs. The kids also learned scripture from Philippians 4:4 and were saying “Rejoice in the Lord” on repeat. At Crafts, we made crowns to start the week and finger-painted flowers and trees to end it. The kids LOVED getting to create those masterpieces over there! Gospel conversations were happening throughout Bible Club but especially at Bible Story and Games. The kids learned about God redeeming them from their sins and how we should respond to that. And at Games, the kids had a blast playing soccer, but it did not stop there. They brought a soccer ball that had pictures showing the Gospel, and the kids asked MANY questions about it throughout the week. How cool is it that we could use something as simple as a soccer ball to share the Gospel! And on Friday, one of our older boys asked Jesus into his heart and wanted to start a relationship with Him. We are so excited for him and cannot wait to get to walk alongside him in this the rest of the summer! It was a great week rain or shine, and we are so grateful for Forest Hills being here with us. Week 3 here we come!!

- Kelsey & Hunter

Whittier

Week 2, we had the opportunity to have Fellowship Bible join us at Whittier! You couldn’t help but smile looking out at bible club this week, the kids were smiling, dancing, and listening intently to bible stories.  Fellowship Bible did such an amazing job at catching the kids' attention with their energy and joy. The team members went into each day with their hearts set on Christ. When Christ is the real mission, it changes not only the hearts of the kids at Bible Club, but the hearts of team members. The kids also thoroughly enjoyed the water games that were provided all week long! We can not thank Fellowship Bible enough for spending the week at Street Reach. Whittier couldn’t have asked for a more dedicated and Christ-filled team for week 2!  Acts 17:27 “That they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.”

-Tucker and Jo

Kendrick

K-E-N and a D and a RICK it’s KENDRICK, WHAT!

It was a fantastic first week at Kendrick! Grace Evangelical Free Church from Michigan brought their A-Game! We had a high of 27 this week and they brought new kids every day! Grace E Free put their heart and soul into Bible club and worked hard every day to better themselves, and their stations, and spread the light of Christ to all those that would listen. We had a small encounter with surprise wood pieces in the middle of Bible club one morning but as soon as the team saw it they made a plan to work around it. The kids had an absolute blast that day despite the change in stations. The team even felt led to come back out to Kendrick that afternoon on a prayer tour to pick up all the wood pieces and move them to a safer spot so we could go back to normal the next day. Grace E Free Church exemplified being servants and followers of Christ through their words and actions. Through the hilarious songs, the crazy games of nuke em, the sweetest crafts, and the Bible stories that reminded us of God’s goodness and protection.  Thank you so much for starting Kendrick’s summer off with a whole lot of heart and even more love!

-Jess

Jackson

God’s light was on full display this week at Jackson Bible Club with FBC Damascus. The theme of the week was “In Search of Jesus’ Light.” The kids loved the daily theme crafts making constellation jars, astronaut globes, and more. It was so great to hear the kids repeating and memorizing the daily Bible verses that they could write down in their homemade prayer journals. Jesus’ ministry on Earth was on full display in the Bible Story station with skits including the kids. It was so special hearing the daily stories in both English and Spanish to make sure that each kid could hear how much Jesus loves them. If one thing is for sure, our kids know all the fruits of the Spirit. They were so excited to sing along with the guitar and dance to this song every day. Songs also included science activities that brought visuals to help the kids understand how believers should live in Christ. We were amazed to watch the countless (and intense) soccer games every single day of Bible club. The team did so well keeping up with the kids’ energy and gave it their all every day. Great job, team, for finding new kids throughout the week and loving them at Bible club! Thank you so much FBC Damascus for a fantastic week. We hope to see you next summer!

Rosamond

Great opening week at Rosamond! We had some energetic middle schoolers from the Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. They traveled nearly 6 hours from Marietta, Georgia; to spend the week with us! Rosamond was one of five total sites they ran with week, what a blessing! The Bible club kids had a great time learning a new game called Spud, as well as playing some of their favorites throughout the week. Songs had a blast every day singing and dancing to “God is my Superhero” and playing freeze dance! They prepared some really neat crafts including coloring sheets coordinated with the Bible story, foam sun visors, and salvation bracelets toward the end of the week. It is so great to hear the kids reciting each of the meanings behind the colored salvation bracelet beads! Everyone also learned a lot from the Bible stories this week including the lesson from John 4 about the woman at the well, and the story of Mary and Martha. Bible club was a blast and we had a great first week high of 32 kids! Thank you again to Johnson Ferry for their participation in our missions this week!

-Ben, Jae, and John

Guernsey

The Fruit of the Spirit’s not a coconut. The Fruit of the Spirit’s not a coconut. If you want to be a coconut, you might as well hear it, you can’t be a fruit of a spirit!” These song lyrics could be heard all across Bible Club Guernsey this week! Bridge Christian definitely brought the fun for week one of the summer! This week was all about the Fruits of the Spirit! In Bible Story, the kids learned about several Bible characters that possessed the Fruits of the Spirit including Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! In the songs station, they sang so many fun songs to help the kids remember the fruits of the spirit. The kids always love singing “The Fruits of the Spirit” and doing the hand jive with it! In the craft station, the kids made lemon-shaped door hangers, fruit baskets, and “Grow with Kindness” flowers! The games station was always so much fun! The kids loved playing germs and doctors, red light green light, dozers, and builders, and capture the flag! Thank you, Bridge, for serving this community so well year after year! You have not only made an impact on the G-Street kids but on me as well! I am looking forward to seeing how the Lord moves through Guernsey this summer!

-Mitch & Ailey

Pope

P-O-P-E that is where we want to be! What an amazing week one at Pope! Loudon County created such a fun Bible club for our kids! They had so much energy and loved the kids so well! The kids learned the story of the woman at the well and how Jesus is our protector. At crafts, they made wells, lanterns, and bookmarks. Games hit it out of the park when they brought out the parachute for the kids to play with. The kids had a blast! We had over twelve brand new kids come to club this week with a high of twenty-eight kids! Thursday we had rain showers, but that did not stop us! We danced in the rain as the routes walked home! We are so excited to see what next week will bring and watch our kids grow in Christ! Thank you Loudon County for a great start to the summer!

Johnson

WELCOME one and all! Street Reach 2023 has officially kicked off its summer season and what a wonderful week we've had at Bible Club Johnson. On Monday we had 4 children show up, three of which were late. The heart-filled team from FBC Johnson Ferry walked and knocked and walked and knocked and came back with so many "no kids" and "all my kids are grown." At the end of the day, we had to believe that God is in control and that HE wants us to love whoever HE has chosen to show up to club. At the same time, HE has said that the harvest is plentiful - there are children who need to be in HIS presence and it's our job to go and find them. So Tuesday morning, all the missionaries gathered around and we prayed that God would fill us with His power to love no matter who was in attendance and that at the same time send us as many kids as we could handle. GOD ANSWERS PRAYER! That day, we jumped from 4 to 25 and maintained 29 the rest of the week! Watching the team play soccer, dance battle, decorate sun visors, lift parachutes, and teach the scriptures of Jesus Christ to these children with nothing held back was a true blessing to behold. We even had a family of seven Spanish Only students (something I've never seen at Bible Club Johnson) attend all week, and not even a language barrier could stop the love of God from pouring forth from the missionaries. THANK YOU Johnson Ferry for being so willing to pray for God to send children AND be so willing to go get them, so willing to love them, so willing to build relationships with them. I could not ask for a more fantastic start to a summer. Once again, God is so good. He answers prayer. So please pray that God will continue to send workers into this harvest field, and pray for the rest of our summer. I cannot wait to see what wonders the God of miracles has in store. #BestBibleClub

Leahy’s

We had such a great week at Leahy’s! Yup, you read that right, Leahy’s is back!! Huge shoutout to Crestwood Baptist for bringing all the energy all week long!!! Leahy’s ran a high of 21

kids this week!! Our kids learned all about Jesus and memorized different bible verses throughout the week! During the bible story, they had different activities to work through to help them

remember the verse. One day they put a puzzle together and another day they built a Lego tower! Over at crafts, we built, colored, and decorated! A couple of favorite crafts of the week

were creating tie-dye coffee filters and mason jar lanterns! Duck-duck-goose, red light green light, blob tag, and throwing the football were a huge hit at the game station! Songs was a huge hit all week long! The kids learned new dances every day, two of the favorites were, My Lighthouse and House of the Lord! Thank you, Crestwood, for loving on our kids this week!

Treadwell

Let's Go, Treadwell! Thank you so much to FBC Johnson Ferry for coming in this week and sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the wonderful kids at Treadwell. We started on Monday with 3 kids but through the team members' determination and love, they went back out on Tuesday and brought back even more! We had a high of 22 this week and continued to meet new kids every day. This week, our kids learned about creation, the women in the well, and Mary and Martha. The Treadwell kids made nativity scene crafts, salvation bracelets, scratch-off crosses, and visors that the kids wore all week. I saw relationships grow between team members and bible club kids and confidence develop as the students stepped out of their comfort zone. In our morning site meetings, we talked about God's Word coming to life in us. We specifically talked about Matthew 9:35-38 where Jesus told his disciples "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." This week's students brought this scripture to life by intentionally tending to the Lord's harvest at bible club; I couldn't be more proud of them. It was a phenomenal week at Treadwell and I cannot wait to see what the rest of this summer brings.

Que Que

Week one at Que Que was so awesome and was filled with Jesus moments!!! We had a fun and engaging week with the team from FBC Johnson Ferry at Que Que!  The kids at Que Que loved playing with the parachute, as well as making all of the crafts including salvation bracelets and coloring sheets. They especially loved wearing their decorative and colorful sun visors loud and proud of their work at crafts. The way that  Johnson Ferry was so eager to pray for people was very inspiring. They would pray for so many people passing by. I personally enjoyed seeing the older boys so well-behaved, showing good manners and playing football. Another personal highlight was when I watched 10-year-old Freddie volunteer to pick up trash around the sight with one of the team leaders. In this first week, the kids really bonded with the team well and they loved them so much. This has been a really fun week and I look forward to week 2 as more people come to love on these kids. Please pray for the incoming teams for wisdom and energy as they will share the love of Christ with these Memphis children.

National

Stone Ridge Baptist Church was such a blessing on our first week back at National! There were 48 kids on Monday and up to 57 kids on Friday who were loved on and taught about God! They certainly enjoyed the parachute at the games station, as well as the high energy during kickball. Never before has anyone break danced to the Gummy Bear Song, but the kids this week set records for awesome dance moves. Fun games were played at Bible Story too, and the kids learned about Peter’s denial of Jesus, being a good friend to others, Ester’s Story of bravery and trust, and how God truly listens to their prayers. At Crafts, every kid-focused intently on coloring Noah’s ark, adorning Joseph’s coat, and creating beautiful bracelets, as well as other fun art projects!

Stone Ridge was truly incredible, showing the children through their actions that God cares for them so much. So appreciative of a stellar team that transformed copious amounts of kids into a God-honoring, fun mission field!

Whittier

Week 1 of 2023 is in the books! Bible Club Whittier was blessed to have South Community Church come and serve the community this week. As always, they brought joy and life to the streets of Memphis. We can’t begin to thank them enough for spending the week at Street Reach. The Lord worked this week and we were able to reach 83 kids in total, with Friday having the highest individual count of 53 kids!!! The kids absolutely adore the team members of South Community and it was refreshing to see how God filled the team up with love so they could bless the kids with the gifts of big hugs, intentional conversions, and a lot of good dance

moves. This week we saw the hand of God working and his power was evident! South Community even had a Spanish speaker who was able to connect to Spanish-speaking families, who had children come to bible club. It was cool to see each and every one of South Community’s team members put their God-given gifts to use with the kids of Memphis!! Matthew25:45

“Then he will answer them, saying,’ Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of

these my brothers, you did it to me.”

Jackson

We had a fantastic first week of Bible club at Jackson Park with FBC Johnson Ferry! All of the walking routes worked so hard to find more and more kids each day of Bible club. New families came for the first time and loved every day with the team. This week had the highest number of kids for the beginning of summer that I can ever remember. Each day’s activities were well planned with the Bible story and crafts working together to make sure each kid understood the story of Jesus' ministry on Earth. Games and songs were so fun to watch and jump in and play throughout the week. Whether it was the parachute, an intense soccer game, Hey Bodidly Bop, or Chicken Wing, the kids were always so excited to join in and have fun. The best part of the week was one of our kids accepting Jesus into her heart. I will forever be grateful for FBC Johnson Ferry devoting their time to Bible club and being obedient to God’s direction. The team explained salvation so well, and it was so special watching another child enter into God’s kingdom forever. We cannot wait to see you again next year, Johnson Ferry!
