Rosamond

We had our biggest attendance of the year at Rosamond this week! We couldn’t have done it without the help of our friends from The Brook Church! Thank y’all so much for serving alongside us in Memphis for so many years, and thanks for enduring the heat with me this week! It has been a personal goal of mine to reach 40 kids this summer, we met that on Wednesday and blew past it on Thursday with 45 amazing kiddos! It’s not all about numbers but each of those kids have a soul and they each were able to hear the gospel this week at Bible story It was great getting to know everyone and awesome seeing y’all love on the neighborhood kids here at Rosamond. This week reminded me of the passage in Matthew 9. The harvest was plentiful, plentiful enough that the kids outnumbered us two to one! But the Lord of the Harvest knew exactly what he was doing and he fully equipped The Brook youth this week. Thanks again for all the fun and love you brought to our children! Can’t wait to see what God does the rest of this summer with the seeds y’all planted.

Guernsey

University Christian was hanging out at G-Street this week, and man did we have a blast! Throughout the week, we embarked on a Biblical journey with the kids, sharing stories of Noah's Ark, God's promise to Noah, Abraham's new home, the miraculous birth of Isaac, and God's unwavering care for Jacob. As they learned more about these people, the children's eyes sparkled with wonder and excitement, eagerly absorbing the lessons of faith, trust, and divine providence.

At the crafts station, creativity flowed as the kids crafted vibrant rainbows, a symbolic reminder of God's promise to never flood the earth again. The coloring sheets allowed them to express their artistic talents while making a happy hat visor brought smiles and laughter to their faces. Building Jacob's ladder sparked their imagination, connecting them with the story of Jacob's dream and the angels ascending and descending. The hit song at the songs station was the infectious "Milkshake" repeat-after-me song, filling the air with joyous voices and enthusiastic dancing. And at the games station, the older boys played some friendly football matches, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As the week concluded, we witnessed the profound impact of these biblical stories on the children's hearts. Their faith grew stronger, and they left with a newfound understanding of God's love and His enduring promises. It was a week filled with blessings, both for the kids and for me, as I witnessed the transformative power of sharing God's word and the joy of spreading His love.

Thank you University Christian, for loving the G-Street babies so well! See you next year!

Leahy’s

Wow, what a week at Leahy’s Bible Club! Harvest Chruch came to have the kids of Leahy’s join them on a journey. Following Jesus is challenging, and through the eyes of Paul, and Jesus that is what Leahy’s Bible Club learned with the help of Harvest. From Pentecost to Paul’s trip to Athens the Gospel was constantly shared each and every day.  Games were an absolute hit as the kids participated in relay races, obstacle courses WITH blindfolds, and Marco Polo. Let us not forget about the fun that was had at crafts. From cross necklaces, cross impressions, all the way to pool noodle launchers fun was had by all this week at Leahy’s Bible Club. It was a great week as the summer begins to come to a close. Thank you Harvest Church for loving Leahy’s and Memphis so well!

Kado

Welcome back to Bible Club Kado! Week 7 of the summer, but week 2 of our brand new Bible Club: and what a fantastic week it was. Shout out to Keystone Church for bringing the fun and the love of God this week. From our hottest day of the summer to a downpour - no weather formed against them could break their determination to be with these kids! From making rainbow clouds and froot loop necklaces at crafts, to memorizing scripture at Bible Story, to games like drip drip splash (duck duck goose with a sponge) and wet potato (hot potato with a sponge), club this week was never lacking energy or the sound of children shouting for joy. I loved watching children engage in singing/dancing competitions and trying to outdo one another in memorizing verses! However, my two favorite moments from the week have to be these: I looked at the games station and saw a youth missionary squatting down next to one of our African children, typing something on her phone. This child is usually very quiet and does not understand any English. The missionary finally holds her phone to the child's ear and hits a button. Google Translate begins speaking the instructions in Swahili and the boy nods in understanding. The level of care and intentionality that the missionaries from Keystone wielded was an unmistakable reflection of God.

Another favorite moment, asking a 7-year-old what his favorite station was. "Bible Story," he said.

"Why do you like Bible Story so much?" I continued.

"Because I like to learn about God," replied the boy.

Praise be to God who has blessed us with the opportunity for Club Kado to exist, for these children to have

Johnson

Who are we? Johnson! We had another awesome week at club this past week. Shout out to Faith United Methodist Church from Georgia came to town and brought all the fun. The weather this week had everything from blistering heat to nice overcast and breeze and even a bit of rain. But none of that stopped the kids and team from having a blast. The kids learned some new rockin songs during a huge group song station. And over at Bible story, the kids went through different stories about Jesus’ life. From his birth to his parents losing him in the temple to meeting Zacchaeus. There was always something to be doing at crafts. The kids were able to make multiple crafts each day and absolutely loved it. Games station had basketballs, balloons, bubbles, and so much more. Wednesday saw our high of the week at 23 kids. The team did such a great job of loving not only the kids but the community as well. Thank you so much GFUMC for an amazing week!

National

Thank you so much FBC Sevierville for spending Week 7 with us at National! It was a great week filled with so much LOVE, fun, songs, Bible stories, and scripture! The Bible stories and crafts went hand-in-hand throughout the week, so the kids were constantly learning and making connections as they went from station to station. They would go from learning about Noah’s Ark at Bible Story to later building it and drawing their own animals to put on it. We loved to see how interactive everyone was with the kids and how they made the stories truly come to life. And at Songs, everyone sang about letting their light shine and had competitions to see who could sing the loudest. Let’s just say, the boys loved this. They continued the fun all the way to Games and had an absolute blast! They played red light, green light, hospital tag, ships and sailors, and soccer (just to name a few). But even outside of the stations, the kids were having a great time and great conversations, which was really special to see. They love getting to talk about Jesus and have asked amazing questions throughout the summer, and it is such a blessing to see seeds getting watered. We are looking forward to getting to spend one more week together as we finish out the summer, and please pray that we steward everything God has done this summer well!

Kendrick

Week 7 at Kendrick was a fun, successful experience with Barfield Baptist. Their loving, Christ-like attitudes were so evident throughout this entire week. They were very prepared to go minister to these kids and were so intentional with building long-lasting relationships. Personally, I enjoyed that Barfield Baptist hand-wrote bible verses for the children as well as explained the verse to them. Also, the inclusion of water games at Bible Club was a phenomenal way to keep the kids engaged and was so much fun. Another great thing that they brought was a well-planned bible story that was presented on a tv(this really engaged the children). Not to forget the amazing crafts including tie-dye shirts, salvation bracelets, and Rubix cubes. It has been an honor to serve alongside Barfield Baptist and would love to see them again next year. Please keep Street Reach ministries, as well as all of the volunteers, in your prayers as summer is coming to an end. We are so excited for the upcoming week and can not wait for what God has in store for Street Reach, the volunteering Church, and most importantly the Bible Club kids.

Isaiah 58:12

“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

Pope

We had so much fun this week at Pope with Faith Baptist! The kids enjoyed making doves, ladders, boats, and bracelets at crafts! They danced to the guitar while also playing musical red light, green light! They learned the story of Noah’s Ark and how God’s promises are never broken. They learned about Abraham and Sarah and how God continued to keep His promises to them as well. The kids got out all of their energy at games when they played Colors, Duck-Duck-Goose, Freeze Tag and more! Faith Baptist loved on the kids so intently and so hard! Thank you for coming to Pope for the week! I am so excited to see what week 8 will bring!

Whittier

This week we were blessed with having Franklin FUMC. The kids came out and had such a fun time learning about Jesus, playing games, making crafts and dancing!! The kids even had the opportunity to do water games on Friday. They did relay races with sponges and buckets. The kids all walked away feeling cool and refreshed on the hot day. Earlier in the week the older boys at games played soccer together and had so much fun. The kids loved playing jump rope games like “snake” and seeing who could jump higher over the rope. Franklin FUMC made so many sweet connections with the kids at Whittier.  Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;”

Jackson

FBC Nevada, thank you for a great week at Jackson Park with our great kids. It was such a blessing to have y’all back again serving our community. We absolutely loved crafts station with all of the hands-on crafts that the kids loved putting all of their focus into. We also loved our soccer tournaments throughout the week. It is such a blessing to watch the kids, especially the older boys, be all in with something that they love so much. The freestyle dances and sing-a-longs were hits every day during our time at songs. We even had a big shark visitor that made the kids go crazy with excitement and laughter. Having the kids help tell the stories of Jesus and His ministry on earth was the sweetest thing. They loved sharing and taking turns holding baby Jesus. It was such an awesome week with FBC Nevada. We hope to see you again at Jackson for years to come!

Treadwell

Week 7 at Bible Club Treadwell was so amazing due to Ovid Community Church! Treadwell doesn’t always get to run due to the number of teams but we were so blessed to be able to spend another week with the Treadwell kids! We had a high of 19 this week; had the chance to walk new streets; and got to minister to new kids! The team met a Swahili family on Monday and worked prayerfully to communicate with them and on Tuesday they came and even though there was a language barrier the kids had so much fun and came back all week! The kids learned about Noah’s Ark, Jacob’s Ladder, and God’s promises! Each craft coordinated with the Bible story and the kids had such a great time! They made rainbows and colored animals to put on Noah’s Ark. We were not short of hot weather this week and so the team found fun ways to incorporate water into their song station and played with the parachute to give the kids some shade and a breeze. Thank you so much to Ovid Community Church for their hard work and the continual love that they poured out into the community. It was a great last week at Treadwell and I can’t wait to be back!
