07/31/2023

National

Praise the Lord for such a sweet ending to the summer! Thank you LifePoint Church for coming down to Memphis to spend the last week with our kids. Y’all’s preparation blew us away with all of the fun things y’all had planned. The kids really enjoyed having a NEW experiment station this week and the ways it related to the Bible story. One of the days, they used paper clips to demonstrate having a friend in Jesus and how He keeps us from ‘sinking’ just like He helped Peter walk on water. They continued learning this all the way through Bible Club! They had a three legged race to show how friends work together, and then they made boats at Crafts and tested to see if they would float. It was so cool seeing all of their Bible stories come to life throughout the week and the entire summer! We are so grateful that we got to be here for another summer and see how the kids have grown in their faith and desire to know Jesus. AND see all of the friendships that formed & how well the kids took care of one another. We are so blessed to know them and be impacted by them. Please continue to pray for them as they go into the rest of their year and are lights in their schools and families!

Jackson

We had a phenomenal last week at Jackson Bible club with FBC George West! Thank y’all for coming all the way from Texas to love on our kids. It was so great to watch the kids listen to different Old Testament stories in Bible story station. They got to learn how God has been faithful from the beginning of time and connect this to Jesus being our hope through the ages. We no longer have to sacrifice because Jesus was the perfect one. Thank you for using your bilingual skills in making sure each kid that came to club had the ability to fully understand the stories and the love of God that He has for each of them. It was so special to watch and listen. Thank you for an awesome time at games station as well. We’ve never seen some of the kids try so hard and have so much fun with obstacle courses and relays. It was a joy to see. The kids got to end the summer with Fruit of the Spirit, which is one of their favorite sing-a-long songs to do motions to. We love watching other stations incorporating the lessons of the week. It was sweet to watch the kids be so careful and intentional with making their crafts each day. They got to be creative and show their inner artists. We had such a special week, with our newest summer high on the last day of club at 38. Thank you FBC George West for loving the kids so well. We’ll see you next summer!

Leahy’s

What an AMAZING week it has been at Leahy’s!!! Huge shoutout to West Springs for loving on our kids all week long!!! Bible story was a huge hit, the kids got to dress up as bible characters and see a science experiment, while learning about Baby Moses, The Ten Plagues, The Parting of the Red Sea, and The Ten Commandments. The kids got to make a River with baby Moses in it, a shield for protection against the Plagues, the Red Sea, plant flowers, and make a fortune teller!  The big hits at songs this week was getting to freeze dance, dance to church clap, and play hot potato! Games was bringing all the energy this week with water relays, blind folded obstacle course, a parachute, relays with pie in the face, water guns, and water balloons!! It has been an incredible last week at Leahy’s!!

Thank you all for serving, loving, and teaching our kids this summer!!

-Mackenzie and Judy

Pope

What an amazing final week of Bible Club! Beech Street brought the fun and a high of 27 kids! The kids learned the different stories of Moses like the plagues, the parting of the Red Sea and more! At crafts they made bracelets, picture frames, and so much more! At games they played capture the flag and freeze tag! Songs killed it with musical red light green light and freeze dance. The kids felt so much love throughout this summer, especially week 8! Thank you so much Beech Street for serving the Pope kids so well!

Whittier

What a blessing it was to have Big Creek Church lead us out for the summer! Truly, club this week was incredible, and though we all had to be flexible through the mud and the excitement of so many kids showing up, God was certainly honored by the dedication and love poured out this week towards the kids. Bible Stories went deep this week, asking important questions and bringing everything throughout the summer together; going over the hope of Revelations on the last day was also a perfect ending to all of the previous stories. Games was a hit, especially the parachute, and the kids couldn’t get enough of that gigantic beast. When it was out, roughly half of the Bible Club kids disappeared under it at one time. Crafts was full steam ahead, mesmerizing the kids with scratch offs, fuzzy coloring sheets, and foldable crowns to wear. Lastly, Songs was blasting as they played various games such as Ninja, Freeze Dance, and Hot Potato, as well as a new one called Big Booty. All that to say, Whit Vegas went out with a bang, and the kids were quite sad when they had to leave. We’re so thankful for the hard work and kindness of Big Creek, and we can’t wait to have them again!

-Jo & Hunter

Rosamond

We had a wild week 8 at Rosamond! Thank you so much to Green Acres for joining us in service this week! We had the biggest week of the summer. Talk about finishing strong! Even though Green Acres was a new team, they all did awesome. Not just any group can handle 54 kids so well! 54 kids was not only a summer high but also the most kids I’ve personally ever seen on Rosamond! Green Acres was well prepared with a Bible story each day about Moses, along with some great coordinated crafts. They also used a scripture memory station in place of songs which went great! Games were a hit with the parachute and potato sack races! Overall great week and an amazing end to the summer. I loved being able to see all the neighborhood kiddos one more time this summer. Please continue to pray for all the kids until we can get back out and see them again really soon!

-Ben, Jae, and John

Kado

What a wonderful summer we have been blessed with, and three weeks of Bible Club Kado back to back are icing on the cake. The Power Surge Youth group came to serve the children and finish us of with our week 8. We got to see an average of 15 children each day share a little more Jesus, a little more love, a little more hope before the school year begins. Kids came to club excited to sing and dance, they sat and made picture frames and baby Moseses, they learned about God's protection and provision and promise keeping power, they had an epic kickball tournament, and played the most hype games of hot potato the world has ever seen! One of my favorite moments was watching one 10-year-old so intently asking questions and wanting to know more about baby Moses in the basket, and her 7 year old brother recalling memory verses from day to day AS WELL AS LAST WEEK!  Huge thanks to the missionaries from Power Surge Youth who were so willing to wade through the heat waves gathering children and being so intentional with each child. Having dropped each child off at their home for the last time this season, I ask you all to be praying for them. 1) Pray that God will protect and provide for them and their families this year. 2) Pray that they remember God's Truths and the lessons they have learned this summer. 3) Pray that God will place other missionaries in their day to day lives. 4) Pray that they will come to know Him in a personal, loving, and everlasting relationship. Signing off for 2023.

Kendrick

What a sweet end to a great summer at Bible Club Kendrick! Thank you to Cornerstone Church from Kentucky for coming in and allowing us to spend one last week with the wonderful kids at Kendrick! We spent the week learning about Moses and all the ways that the Lord used him and provided guidance and grace through someone you least expected. The kids were able to decorate flower pots and plant seeds, decorate Ten Commandments wheels, and other crafts relating to the Bible story. The kids loved crafts every day because they were able to use paint which isn’t a common medium they have access to and it was such a joy to see their excitement. The kids danced and sang to some of their favorite songs, played hot potato, and chicken danced their hearts out.  At the end of the week, the team gave out goody bags for each kid and Lucas and I were able to give out bibles to a couple of our kids who have been asking questions and exploring their faith a little more. It was a bittersweet goodbye but we cannot wait to be back out there soon! A big thank you again for the love and encouragement that Cornerstone Church continued to bring every day despite the heat. We wouldn’t be able to minister to this community without you. Until next time Kendrickwe love you!

Johnson

Hello one and all and welcome to another awesome week of Johnson Bible club! We had Eastern Assembly from Baltimore in town and they led an amazing final week of club. A high of 32 kids came out in the heat to have fun and learn about Jesus. Game station turned into party station with all the different games going on, including a water game competition on Friday. The kids got to make sea shells, color pictures, and even made an edible rice crispy boat at crafts. And the kids got to dance to classic Bible club songs as well as the church clap and cha cha slide. A huge thank you to Eastern Assembly for coming to the frontlines and sharing the good news to our kids.

Rosamond

We had our biggest attendance of the year at Rosamond this week! We couldn’t have done it without the help of our friends from The Brook Church! Thank y’all so much for serving alongside us in Memphis for so many years, and thanks for enduring the heat with me this week! It has been a personal goal of mine to reach 40 kids this summer, we met that on Wednesday and blew past it on Thursday with 45 amazing kiddos! It’s not all about numbers but each of those kids have a soul and they each were able to hear the gospel this week at Bible story It was great getting to know everyone and awesome seeing y’all love on the neighborhood kids here at Rosamond. This week reminded me of the passage in Matthew 9. The harvest was plentiful, plentiful enough that the kids outnumbered us two to one! But the Lord of the Harvest knew exactly what he was doing and he fully equipped The Brook youth this week. Thanks again for all the fun and love you brought to our children! Can’t wait to see what God does the rest of this summer with the seeds y’all planted.

Guernsey

University Christian was hanging out at G-Street this week, and man did we have a blast! Throughout the week, we embarked on a Biblical journey with the kids, sharing stories of Noah's Ark, God's promise to Noah, Abraham's new home, the miraculous birth of Isaac, and God's unwavering care for Jacob. As they learned more about these people, the children's eyes sparkled with wonder and excitement, eagerly absorbing the lessons of faith, trust, and divine providence.

At the crafts station, creativity flowed as the kids crafted vibrant rainbows, a symbolic reminder of God's promise to never flood the earth again. The coloring sheets allowed them to express their artistic talents while making a happy hat visor brought smiles and laughter to their faces. Building Jacob's ladder sparked their imagination, connecting them with the story of Jacob's dream and the angels ascending and descending. The hit song at the songs station was the infectious "Milkshake" repeat-after-me song, filling the air with joyous voices and enthusiastic dancing. And at the games station, the older boys played some friendly football matches, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. As the week concluded, we witnessed the profound impact of these biblical stories on the children's hearts. Their faith grew stronger, and they left with a newfound understanding of God's love and His enduring promises. It was a week filled with blessings, both for the kids and for me, as I witnessed the transformative power of sharing God's word and the joy of spreading His love.

Thank you University Christian, for loving the G-Street babies so well! See you next year!

Leahy’s

Wow, what a week at Leahy’s Bible Club! Harvest Chruch came to have the kids of Leahy’s join them on a journey. Following Jesus is challenging, and through the eyes of Paul, and Jesus that is what Leahy’s Bible Club learned with the help of Harvest. From Pentecost to Paul’s trip to Athens the Gospel was constantly shared each and every day.  Games were an absolute hit as the kids participated in relay races, obstacle courses WITH blindfolds, and Marco Polo. Let us not forget about the fun that was had at crafts. From cross necklaces, cross impressions, all the way to pool noodle launchers fun was had by all this week at Leahy’s Bible Club. It was a great week as the summer begins to come to a close. Thank you Harvest Church for loving Leahy’s and Memphis so well!

-Mackenzie and Judy

Kado

Welcome back to Bible Club Kado! Week 7 of the summer, but week 2 of our brand new Bible Club: and what a fantastic week it was. Shout out to Keystone Church for bringing the fun and the love of God this week. From our hottest day of the summer to a downpour - no weather formed against them could break their determination to be with these kids! From making rainbow clouds and froot loop necklaces at crafts, to memorizing scripture at Bible Story, to games like drip drip splash (duck duck goose with a sponge) and wet potato (hot potato with a sponge), club this week was never lacking energy or the sound of children shouting for joy. I loved watching children engage in singing/dancing competitions and trying to outdo one another in memorizing verses! However, my two favorite moments from the week have to be these: I looked at the games station and saw a youth missionary squatting down next to one of our African children, typing something on her phone. This child is usually very quiet and does not understand any English. The missionary finally holds her phone to the child's ear and hits a button. Google Translate begins speaking the instructions in Swahili and the boy nods in understanding. The level of care and intentionality that the missionaries from Keystone wielded was an unmistakable reflection of God.

Another favorite moment, asking a 7-year-old what his favorite station was. "Bible Story," he said.

"Why do you like Bible Story so much?" I continued.

"Because I like to learn about God," replied the boy.

Praise be to God who has blessed us with the opportunity for Club Kado to exist, for these children to have

-Kaden

Johnson

Who are we? Johnson! We had another awesome week at club this past week. Shout out to Faith United Methodist Church from Georgia came to town and brought all the fun. The weather this week had everything from blistering heat to nice overcast and breeze and even a bit of rain. But none of that stopped the kids and team from having a blast. The kids learned some new rockin songs during a huge group song station. And over at Bible story, the kids went through different stories about Jesus’ life. From his birth to his parents losing him in the temple to meeting Zacchaeus. There was always something to be doing at crafts. The kids were able to make multiple crafts each day and absolutely loved it. Games station had basketballs, balloons, bubbles, and so much more. Wednesday saw our high of the week at 23 kids. The team did such a great job of loving not only the kids but the community as well. Thank you so much GFUMC for an amazing week!

-Kameron

National

Thank you so much FBC Sevierville for spending Week 7 with us at National! It was a great week filled with so much LOVE, fun, songs, Bible stories, and scripture! The Bible stories and crafts went hand-in-hand throughout the week, so the kids were constantly learning and making connections as they went from station to station. They would go from learning about Noah’s Ark at Bible Story to later building it and drawing their own animals to put on it. We loved to see how interactive everyone was with the kids and how they made the stories truly come to life. And at Songs, everyone sang about letting their light shine and had competitions to see who could sing the loudest. Let’s just say, the boys loved this. They continued the fun all the way to Games and had an absolute blast! They played red light, green light, hospital tag, ships and sailors, and soccer (just to name a few). But even outside of the stations, the kids were having a great time and great conversations, which was really special to see. They love getting to talk about Jesus and have asked amazing questions throughout the summer, and it is such a blessing to see seeds getting watered. We are looking forward to getting to spend one more week together as we finish out the summer, and please pray that we steward everything God has done this summer well!

-Tucker and Kelsey

Kendrick

Week 7 at Kendrick was a fun, successful experience with Barfield Baptist. Their loving, Christ-like attitudes were so evident throughout this entire week. They were very prepared to go minister to these kids and were so intentional with building long-lasting relationships. Personally, I enjoyed that Barfield Baptist hand-wrote bible verses for the children as well as explained the verse to them. Also, the inclusion of water games at Bible Club was a phenomenal way to keep the kids engaged and was so much fun. Another great thing that they brought was a well-planned bible story that was presented on a tv(this really engaged the children). Not to forget the amazing crafts including tie-dye shirts, salvation bracelets, and Rubix cubes. It has been an honor to serve alongside Barfield Baptist and would love to see them again next year. Please keep Street Reach ministries, as well as all of the volunteers, in your prayers as summer is coming to an end. We are so excited for the upcoming week and can not wait for what God has in store for Street Reach, the volunteering Church, and most importantly the Bible Club kids.

Isaiah 58:12

“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

-Lucas

Pope

We had so much fun this week at Pope with Faith Baptist! The kids enjoyed making doves, ladders, boats, and bracelets at crafts! They danced to the guitar while also playing musical red light, green light! They learned the story of Noah’s Ark and how God’s promises are never broken. They learned about Abraham and Sarah and how God continued to keep His promises to them as well. The kids got out all of their energy at games when they played Colors, Duck-Duck-Goose, Freeze Tag and more! Faith Baptist loved on the kids so intently and so hard! Thank you for coming to Pope for the week! I am so excited to see what week 8 will bring!

-Emma

Whittier

This week we were blessed with having Franklin FUMC. The kids came out and had such a fun time learning about Jesus, playing games, making crafts and dancing!! The kids even had the opportunity to do water games on Friday. They did relay races with sponges and buckets. The kids all walked away feeling cool and refreshed on the hot day. Earlier in the week the older boys at games played soccer together and had so much fun. The kids loved playing jump rope games like “snake” and seeing who could jump higher over the rope. Franklin FUMC made so many sweet connections with the kids at Whittier.  Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;”

-Jo and Hudson

Jackson

FBC Nevada, thank you for a great week at Jackson Park with our great kids. It was such a blessing to have y’all back again serving our community. We absolutely loved crafts station with all of the hands-on crafts that the kids loved putting all of their focus into. We also loved our soccer tournaments throughout the week. It is such a blessing to watch the kids, especially the older boys, be all in with something that they love so much. The freestyle dances and sing-a-longs were hits every day during our time at songs. We even had a big shark visitor that made the kids go crazy with excitement and laughter. Having the kids help tell the stories of Jesus and His ministry on earth was the sweetest thing. They loved sharing and taking turns holding baby Jesus. It was such an awesome week with FBC Nevada. We hope to see you again at Jackson for years to come!

-Abby and Emily

Treadwell

Week 7 at Bible Club Treadwell was so amazing due to Ovid Community Church! Treadwell doesn’t always get to run due to the number of teams but we were so blessed to be able to spend another week with the Treadwell kids! We had a high of 19 this week; had the chance to walk new streets; and got to minister to new kids! The team met a Swahili family on Monday and worked prayerfully to communicate with them and on Tuesday they came and even though there was a language barrier the kids had so much fun and came back all week! The kids learned about Noah’s Ark, Jacob’s Ladder, and God’s promises! Each craft coordinated with the Bible story and the kids had such a great time! They made rainbows and colored animals to put on Noah’s Ark. We were not short of hot weather this week and so the team found fun ways to incorporate water into their song station and played with the parachute to give the kids some shade and a breeze. Thank you so much to Ovid Community Church for their hard work and the continual love that they poured out into the community. It was a great last week at Treadwell and I can’t wait to be back!

Rosamond

It has been an awesome week at Rosamond! Big thank you to The Cross Church who traveled all the way here from Wiley, Texas! I love how they were so full of energy from the get-go, before we even started club they were singing and dancing with all the kids in songs. This was their first year serving with us here in Memphis but there are rumors of many more years to come!  The theme of their Bible club this week was the armor of God. Each day at Bible story they taught the kiddos a new piece of the armor of God. I love the passage in Ephesians 6, which describes all the ways the Lord protects his chosen people. It was a great week of Bible lessons and they even had coordinated crafts. As the week finished out on Friday they finished out the complete armor of God. The team helped each kid get dressed with the belt of Truth, the breastplate of Righteousness, shoes of peace, and the helmet of Salvation. All to go along with their shield of Faith and sword of Truth they build out of cardboard and tin foil on Thursday. I believe God was moving at Rosamond this week through all of these awesome team members and I hope to see what God does in the next two weeks. Thank you again to The Cross Church. Hope y’all had as much fun as I did!

-Ben, Jae, John

National

BIG thank you to Grace Church from Texas for coming to National this week to love on our kiddos!! It was an amazing week full of exciting Bible stories, cool crafts, and lots of fun! The kids went through the Armor of God and talked about how they could apply it to their lives and made crafts as reminders of salvation, righteousness, truth, God’s Spirit, and faith. We saw kids wearing their armor all week long (both spiritually and literally!). Along with that, stories such as Daniel and the Lion’s Den were integrated into these truths! The kids brought their armor all the way to Songs and Games as they played some of their favorites, like Duck Duck Goose and Sharks and Minnows. And let me just say, the kiddos did not let the weather get them down. We all still got to go to Bible Club every day, and the Lord brought us clear skies by the time Bible Club started! We are so grateful for how much the kids are learning and growing in their relationships with Christ every week—and there is so much more in store for the last two weeks of Bible Club! WE CANNOT WAIT!

- Kelsey & Tucker

Jackson

Jackson Park was popping with FBC Trussville in town this week! All 5 days of Bible club were so much fun with this fantastic team. Throughout the week, the team kept finding new kids for Bible club to love and teach. We even had a new summer high of 33 kids on Thursday! A contagious love for the community is evident in the team, and it overflowed every day with the kids. Because of this love from the team, a crazy amount of fun and giggles from the kids were given back to the team. The timeline of Jesus’ ministry on Earth was the theme of the week and was emphasized each day in Bible stories by focusing on occasions when Jesus specifically sacrificed for or served the people around Him. We learned how we have a perfect shepherd, how to be humble from Jesus washing His disciples’ feet, what Jesus suffered when carrying His cross, and what the gospel is after Jesus rose again. Kids were decked out from crafts in their new handmade medals and bracelets that they loved showing off. They got to be creative in making their own sheep and fruits on different days to match the Bible stories. All of the kids loved acting out different fruits when dancing along to Fruits of the Spirit. Sally and Johnny Walker were both fan favorites of the week in all age groups. Games was a thriller with the kids’ favorite games and of coursesoccer games to end each day of club. It was so sweet to watch the older boys cheer each other on while playing such intense soccer rounds. Street Reach (especially Jackson Bible Club) is always excited to watch Trussville roll into town each summer. It is such a blessing to watch them love the kids and teach them about our heavenly Savior and His promises to come. The intentional gospel one-on-one conversations were not overlooked and very much appreciated. We are counting down the days until we see FBC Trussville again!

-Abby and Emily

Guernsey

What a great week we had at Bible club Guernsey with Calvary! Throughout the week, they taught valuable Bible lessons on the Full Armor of God. Each day was filled with passion and enthusiasm as the team guided the children through the teachings of righteousness, faith, salvation, and the power of the Spirit. The kids in crafted their own Breastplate of Righteousness, Sword of the Spirit, Fitted Feet Sandals, Shield of Faith, and Helmet of Salvation. These hands-on activities brought the lessons to life, leaving a lasting impact on their understanding of spiritual armor and its significance in their lives. But beyond the teachings, what truly made the week exceptional was the genuine love and care the team showered upon the children.

As the week came to a close the team gave each kid their very own New Testament Bible, and the hearts of the kids were filled with gratitude. Thank you so much, Calvary, for you continued love and support to this ministry! Please continue to pray for the Guernsey kiddos as our summer is winding down!

-Mitch

Pope

WOW! FMC Prattville brought it this week with all the fun! We had a high of 33 kids this week and they were all loved so well! The kiddos watched the Bible Story skits so intently and were so engaged! They learned about Jesus feeding the 5,000, David and Goliath, Abraham and Isaac, Jesus healing the paralyzed, and Elijah. The kiddos requested multiple runs of the skits, which sparked so many questions and conversations! Songs brought all the fun with the parachute and dancing under it! They learned new songs and danced their hearts out all week! At crafts, they made bracelets, rainsticks, slingshots, and more! Games were so much fun with water balloon tosses, noodle drop, sack races, and bowling! Laughter could be heard everywhere! We are so thankful for such an awesome week with FMC Prattville and cannot wait to see what the last few weeks of summer have to offer!

-Emma and Ailey

Whittier

It was another great week at Whittier, we were blessed to have Grace Church bring such life and energy to Bible Club. You know it’s a great week when you can walk over to any station and be instantly jealous you aren’t a Bible Club kid yourself, it’s that fun and engaging. Red Light, Green Light, and Limbo were a hit with the younger ones, and the older ones had a blast with a little friendly soccer. Songs Station was a hit as the kids learned a new game, “Spot the Leader,” that had their heads spinning and played Ninja to see who was the quickest older boy there. Bible Stories was super interactive, with people falling down dead or acting like lions every other second. Lastly, Crafts Station was incredible, and throughout the week clothed the kids with the full armor of God. And stickers. Lots of them. The kids were sad to see Grace Church leave, and so were we, but we know God has other work for them to do in touching many other lives as well. Many kids were saved this week, and we can see God’s fingerprints all over it! See you at Whittier next year, Grace!

-Jo and Hudson

Kendrick

K-E-N and a D and a RICK it’s KENDRICK, WHAT!

It was a fantastic week at Kendrick! Thank you to Wamego UMC this week who brought so much love and energy to Bible Club! We learned all about the armor of God this week at Bible story. Teaching the Bible club kids the importance of his truth, salvation, and righteousness. Our crafts were themed around the armor and the kids loved it! Their favorite craft was definitely the pasta crowns and fruit loop necklaces. Who doesn’t love having a snack while they do their craft? The kids loved them so much they were wearing them the next day. Wamego did an amazing job at the songs station, every kid was dancing and singing along creating beautiful joyful noise for the Lord. I saw God’s work in action this week, specifically, when one of our older girls who only speaks Spanish was brought to tears out of guilt for not being able to participate in stations because of the language barrier. I watched as the team immediately started making a plan to help communicate thoroughly and include her more in our other stations and I thank the Lord for the guidance he brought to help make sure all of his children were being loved to the fullest. Thank you so much again for everything you all did for Bible Club Kendrick and the community this week!

-Jess & Lucas

Leahy’s

What a week at Leahy’s Bible Club! It was a hot one, but that did not stop the fun! Words cannot describe how much fun Crossroads brought for the kids at Leahy’s! From Bible Story to Crafts to Songs fun was had and the word of God came to life. From the construction of the Chest Plate of Righteousness, Shoes of Peace, Shield of Faith, and Helmet of Salvation to the Sword of the Spirit, all the way to hearing the stories, kids were enamored by learning all about the Armor of God. The Macarena and Cupid Shuffle could be heard all over Club as the kids played soccer, sharks, and minnows and we cannot forget about Marshmallow Baseball, which might be the most fun game ever played might I add. Thank you so much Crossroads for loving the kids of Memphis at Leahy’s Bible Club for Week 6 of this beautiful summer.

-Mackenzie and Judy

Johnson

Hello all and welcome back to Bible Club Johnson! This week, Compass Community Church from Ohio answered the call and came to town to have fun, share the gospel, and love on some kids. And we accomplished all 3. The kids learned about the armor of God all week and we’re able to make corresponding crafts like decorating sandals and coloring shields. Song station was so much fun as the kids had a mix of classic Bible club songs as well as some popular hits like the church clap. And the kids couldn’t get enough of the relays over at games. Our high of the week was on Wednesday with 22 kids. And the team did a great job of pouring God's love into each and every one of the kids. Thank you so much Compass church for being the hands and feet of Jesus this week. God bless and we’ll see you next year!

Week 5: FBC Jamestown, Chunky Baptist, Sycamore Hills Baptist, & Gateway Church

07/10/2023

Rosamond

Fourth of July week came and left with a bang! Started out a little slow with the holiday and all the celebrations, but we ended with a week-high of 26 kids. That’s not even counting the 9 kids the team brought along with them! Thank you to Sycamore Hills Baptist Church for serving alongside us this week in Memphis. It was a lot of fun for the community kids and for us missionaries too. With the really neat family dynamic, the team kids were able to mesh right along with the neighborhood kids and everyone got along so great. Sycamore Hills Baptist was well prepared bringing crafts and songs that coordinated with the Bible story each day. Some of those Bible stories included Old Testament scripture that is sometimes overlooked but is still so prevalent today. They taught about how the Tabernacle used to be the holiest place where God resided, then went on to explain how we can ask Jesus into our hearts and speak with Him anytime now. One day they also spoke about bringing offerings and sacrifices to the Lord, which of course coordinated with the song of the week, “Bring me a Heifer”. But it didn’t stop there, because now that Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us on the cross, we no longer have to bring animal offerings. The community kids were able to learn a bunch this week and had a blast doing it. Big thanks again for all the work Sycamore Hills put in at Bible Club Rosamond this week! Hope to see you all next year!

-Ben, Lucas, Jae, and John

National

It was such a blessing to get to spend the week of the 4th at NATIONAL!! Shoutout to Chunky Baptist for coming this way from Mississippi to do Bible Club with us. Both songs and freedom were ringing this week! We started out the week celebrating America’s birthday and ended up celebrating another week of Bible Club! We had a high of 46 kids come out on Thursday, and we are so grateful for every kid that came to be with us. They made some amazing fences, boxes, and flags with powerful scripture on them at Crafts. And after, they went to Bible Story and learned more about God and were even shown how to prayer walk! They went from walking to dancing and busting out a move at Songs! Then at Games, the kids had so much fun playing Red Light, Green Light and pulled out some tricks with the parachute. Please continue to pray for these kiddos as they continue to come to Bible Club—we are SO EXCITED to see what Week 6 has in store!

Leahy’s

Shoutout to Gateway Texas for loving on our Leahy’s kids all week long!! We had a high of 12 kids this week! In the bible story, our kids learned different memory verses every day, such as, Matthew 21:9, Romans 10:9, Luke 24:6, and John 14:25. Games had all the fun going on with red light green light, tray relay races, parachute duck duck goose, and sharks and minnows! Our kids made palm leaves, rainbow fish, door hangers, a cross with red transparent paper to show that Jesus wipes away our sins, and an I Believe coloring sheet with stickers! During songs we learned dances to, House of the Lord, He is the Light, and Shine His Light! It was an amazing week!! Thank you so much!

Guernsey

What a week! It is definitely a party when G-Street and Pope join together for Bible Club, and what better time to party than Fourth of July week! FBC Jamestown brought the energy and fun this week to club and loved our kids so much and so hard! We had a high of 39 kids this week! At Bible Story, the kids learned the stories of Palm Sunday, doubting Thomas, the road to Emmaus, the Crucifixion, and the disciples being called to be fishers of men. Crafts did it up big by making donkeys, fish, keychains, prayer hands, and watercolor art! Games brought all the laughs by playing freeze tag, variations of sharks and minnows, jump rope competitions, and more! The kids thrived at songs where they learned that the joy in our hearts comes from the Lord and that Jesus is the King of the jungle, universe, sea, and us! They even brought out a new game that was a mix of freeze dance and four corners! Thank you, Jamestown for bringing all of the cool kids to G-street this week! We cannot wait to see what week 6 will bring!
