Leahy’s

It was an incredible week serving alongside South Walker Baptist Church at Bible Club Leahy’s this week! Our kids learned so much about Jesus and had tons of fun! The highest number of the week was sixteen kiddos!! Each station was full of energy, and the noise was made all over club. They acted out bible stories, had props, and let the kids take on items connected to the bible story! They read the story about breaking bread and brought rice cakes for the kids to snack on. Also, through another story, they reminded the kids we are gems and had some for the kids to take home. At the craft station, they made noise makers out of toilet paper rolls, and the kids loved decorating them! Also, they made train tracks and hand hearts. The kids had a blast creating and decorating all their crafts. Games were a huge hit with all the fun games!! They had a pool noddle with a cup full of water attached at the top, the goal was for the kids to pass the noddle without pouring the water out. They played the tell-a-phone game, and the kids loved trying to hear the funny sayings! Also, they stood in a circle and tried to kick a soccer ball between their friends’ legs. The Lord moved in incredible ways this week and I cannot wait to see all that the Lord is going to do in the weeks to come!

Johnson

Whats cookin', Bible Club fans?!?! Hope your summer has been as awesome as it's been here at Club Johnson! Week 4 was such an incredible week with Redeemer Community in town. Club was so fun from beginning to dismissal. We saw our club high of the week on Friday Funday with 31 kiddos hearing about Jesus. We even got to see some new kids who we haven't seen all summer show up. The entire week, the focus was on the fruits of the Spirit and how we can apply them to our lives to live how Jesus would want us to. And each station centered around that main idea. Games got to see a huge and exciting scavenger hunt for different fruits (of the Spirit, of course!). And who doesn't love a fun game of duck, duck, goose?  And along with classic Bible Club songs, Music station got to see the kids learn a new Fruit of the Spirit song that they all sang together at the end of club on Friday. The kids got to make a decorated jar for Crafts in which they could put fruit candy, or chocolate, and they also got to paint different fruits on some canvases. The kids had such a blast that paint may or may not have ended up on some faces!! Thank you so much Redeemer Community, for an incredible Bible Club. Until next week, everyone! God Bless!

Jackson

We had so much fun this week at Bible Club Jackson! It was such a blessing to have Headland church here at Street Reach for week four. Throughout this week at Bible, we went through stories of the death and resurrection of Jesus, and how we can be fishers of men for Jesus. At crafts, we had so much fun making flip-flops, salvation bracelets, and Jesus fish key chains. At songs, we had so so much fun with the parachute Headland brought for the kids, learned how to cha-cha slide, and danced hard to Little Sally Walker. At games, this week’s team had intense soccer matches with the older boys, fun times while playing freeze tag and jump rope with the older girls, and classic fun with the littles with duck, duck, goose. It was so sweet to see the team grow so close to the kids and the kids grow so close to the team. All the jump rope competitions, bubble-blowing, and piggyback rides have made for some great memories here at Jackson. It was fantastic to have such a heartfelt team welcome 20 of our kids this week and push them to dig deeper and ask more questions about the Bible. Headland will be missed by the Street Reach staffers, and we cannot wait to see them again to run around with our Jackson kids. We can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us the rest of this summer and can’t wait to have more fun with our kids here at Bible Club.

Rosamond

Week four with Paris was a great week at Rosamond! Paris drove from Paris, Illinois to come do a Bible club at Rosamond. Thanks for making it a fun, energetic week! We wouldn’t have been able to run Rosamond without y’all! We had a lot of kids throughout the week who all learned about Jesus, made crafts, sang songs, and played games. Our week high was 21 kids on Tuesday. Throughout the week, all of our kids learned so much about Jesus. Some of the  Bible stories that they learned about were the Last Supper and the story of Peter. The kids made fun crafts such as beaded necklaces, flags, and Rubik’s Cubes. Each team member helped the kids slide the beads on for the beaded necklaces and a cool charm in the middle. The flags they all made were so amazing! All of the kids put something they stood for on the flags. The Rubik’s Cubes already had a picture printed on them, and the kids had a fun time coloring then in. The kids had a fun time in the songs station this week! They played games like hot potato, freeze dance, and they danced to the Cupid Shuffle and Church Clap. In the games station, the older girls played lots of four square and loved to jump rope. The younger kids had a fun time playing duck, duck, goose. Our middle kids played jump rope and limbo. The older boys loved playing jackpot and sharks and minnows. Thanks to Paris again! All of our Rosamond kids had so much fun! We wouldn’t have been able to run Rosamond without you!

Guernsey

Week Four!! This week was a great week over at Guernsey! Tuscaloosa created a great environment for the kids and had very engaged stations. We just want to say thank you for taking care of and loving our kids! You are really making an impact on these kids' lives! The team this week has been coming for years, so they were very glad to continue furthering their relationships with the kids. The most kids we had this week was 25! It is such a blessing to get to spread the gospel with each and every one of them. Throughout the week, something super cool happened, the team gave the kids new shirts to wear. During the songs station, the kids played Hot Potato and Little Sally Walker. The Bible stories covered this week were Adam and Eve, the rich young ruler, John writing the gospel, Daniel following God’s instructions, and Paul writing to Ephesus. To keep the kids engaged, they would ask questions, read a Bible verse together, and pray. Some of the crafts the kids made were paper snakes, which they colored using water color paint, cardboard camels that they colored with markers making papers look old using tea bags that then dried a rustic brown, building flower carts, race cars, and football players using hammers, nails, and glue, and paper bag Pauls that were clothed with ripped paper. At games, they played things like kickball, football, sharks and minnows, and “What time is it Mr. Bear?” It was great to hear the kids laughter throughout club and see their beautiful smiles each day! Thank you again Tuscaloosa for running a great club this week and showing love to not just our kids but yours at Guernsey! Mark 10:45 says, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

National

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Rockpointe Church for their incredible dedication and love shown to our kids this week! Your intentionality and warmth have truly made a difference in our kids. At the game station, the children had a blast reintroducing the game Ships and Sailors. It was wonderful to see them running, laughing, and engaged. The energy was contagious! It was harder for the littles to play, but that was no challenge for our team! When the littles came, they would play duck-duck-goose, which is always a hit! Crafts was equally exciting, with a variety of fun and creative projects. Friday was a highlight, as the kids made colorful megaphones. The excitement on their faces as they showed off their creations was priceless. The kids loved singing our silly songs—especially in the megaphones, which is always sweet to see! Songs were unforgettable, especially when they taught the kids "My God is So Big and So Strong and So Mighty!" in both English and Spanish. It was heartwarming to hear their voices as they sang and danced. It was also sweet that the language barrier was passed, and they found a way to connect with the kids! Bible Story was exceptionally engaging, thanks to the fun and interactive skits. This summer was the first time we had performances at our Bible story! The skits made the Bible stories come to life in a way that captivated the children's attention and kept them engaged the whole time.

Thank you again, Rockpointe Church, for spending a week of your summer with us and the joy you brought to our kids. We appreciate you so much!!

Whittier

What an awesome 4th week at bible club Whittier. Our friends at Rockpointe church did an amazing job. We had a high of 35 kids at bible club. So blessed to have a fantastic group to teach and play with some amazing kids this week. The team did an amazing job teaching In our bible story station about Matthew 21:9: “And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord! Hosanna in the highest!” all the kids got their own “bible club notebook” that they got to fill out all week with pictures, drawings, and stickers. Then take home at the end of the week and absolutely loved them. In the games station, they had so much fun playing drip drip splash with a water bottle. And with the older kids, the game infection. Heading over to the craft station where they made megaphones out of paper to proclaim the good news of Jesus and salvation worms and got to talk a lot about salvation. In the song station, they played freeze dance and the Fruit of the Spirit song which really engaged the kids and was such a good time. I can't thank Rockpointe church enough for serving alongside us and having such an amazing time with the kids.

Kendrick

Week 4 at Kendrick has been an awesome time with Faith Community; they have been so interactive and engaging with the Kendrick kids. I loved seeing the smiling faces of Faith as well as the kids as they were jumping rope. All of the stations were well prepared and fun for all ages; even the structured free play was fun as they played Red light, Green light, Mr Bear, and Sharks and Minnows. All of the Bible stories had pictures with them that engaged the kids, and the best story was the Salvation Story, which got the kids thinking; the crafts were awesome as they had salvation caterpillars, Also the songs playlist was legendary as they had very interactive songs, and all the games that were played the kids enjoyed, duck duck goose, Cheetahs and Rabbits (sharks and minnows), and Soccer. All in all, Faith Community has really left an impact on these kids that they will remember forever, I am so appreciative that they were willing to come to Memphis and minister to the kids here.

Johnson

Hello everyone! This is Kameron reporting from another amazing week at Bible Club Johnson. Week 3 saw it all. From 9 Square, Sharks and Minnows, and Duck Duck Goose at games to Pizza Man and ridin in little red wagons at Songs. If there was fun to be had, it was at Johnson! And it was Cornerstone church who was bringing all the fun. The team did a great job loving the kids and sharing the love of Christ. We had no less than 23 kids the whole week, and we saw our summer high of 38 kids on Wednesday. All across the club, there were smiles to be seen and laughs to be heard. At the Bible story station, the kids got to see a different skit acted out each day. They loved watching the team act funny and silly but, at the same time, listening intently to the message being told. From David and Goliath one day. Jesus’s miracles the next day. One day, the kids saw the crucifixion and resurrection. And even the plagues of Egypt! And crafts matched the stories. The kids got to make some frogs one day, a slingshot just like David had (no rocks though! Can’t break that Bible club rule!), and a stained glass window from different colored papers. Even though the week flew by, the team made sure every second counted and every kid knew he or she was loved. Thank you so much, Cornerstone, for a wonderful Bible club.

Jackson

Let’s go! Jackson! Week three has come and gone with great success at Bible Club Jackson!  We had a weekly high of 26 kids on Tuesday this week. Thank you to Indianola Community Church for joining us in serving the Memphis community. Amazingly, they brought almost 80 people and ran four Bible clubs! The kids learned from the interactive Bible stories about Jesus calming the storm,  Mary and Martha, and about Jesus, the true hidden treasure. We also had some pretty neat crafts, including treasure maps and decorating stars. Songs played freeze dance, Little Sally Walker, and the older boys even learned the church clap dance this week. The games were fun, as always, and some games went along with the Bible Story. The paper airplanes taught a valuable lesson that no matter how hard we try, we can’t get to heaven on our own; Jesus is the only way because we will always fall short without him. I'm glad to get to know Indianola this week at Bible club Jackson; thanks again for all the help. We couldn’t have done it without y’all!

National

What an incredible week we had! We were super excited to welcome the Indianola Community Church to our ministry this week! A huge thank you to everyone involved! It was an absolute joy to have you at National and to get to know each of you. The team from Indianola was phenomenal, demonstrating amazing intentionality with the kids and passionately spreading the Gospel. The children had an unforgettable time. The team brought a well-crafted Vacation Bible School plan, perfect for the kids. Each day featured a Bible story with a unifying theme, and the engagement between the team and the kids was super special. You could see the genuine connections forming as the team members got to know the kids better and better each day. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, gospel conversations, and spontaneous, funny songs. One of the most heartwarming moments was on Friday when the impact of the week was evident. The children gathered paper from their crafts and asked each team member to sign it so they could remember them until the next visit. Another really cool thing happened this week – we were blessed by a generous community member who provided water bottles for the kids, showing their love and support for Bible Club.

Again, thank you to Indianola Community Church and everyone who made this week so special. Thank you for loving on our kids!! We look forward to many more weeks of spreading joy, love, and the Gospel at Bible Club.

Pope

POPE IS DOPE!!!!! And it really was, thanks to First Baptist of Malakoff, who joined us

at bible club this week! We hit our highest number of the summer, with a whopping 29 kids, and FBC Malakoff loved on every single one of them until the very last second. Crafts was the hit station for all of our kids this week! They made sand art on paper, paper plate fish, bracelets, and painted sun catchers to put in their windows! Bible stories also held all the attention with different lessons each day! They learned about Daniel being taken into Babylon, the Rich Young Ruler, and they were even taught the Easter story. Each of these stories had a greater meaning behind them. For example, on Monday, the kids learned about the Fall of Man, but the hidden message was to learn that we need to listen to God’s instructions. The thought that FBC Malakoff put into each lesson was phenomenal, and they were so invested in sharing the gospel with these precious kids. Even on the last day of Bible club, the kids had one-on-one time with each team member at the Bible story station and could ask any questions they wanted

to ask about the Bible. It was just a sweet moment to see that connection! Last but certainly not least, games had it going on with hula hoop relay races and the all-time favorite - Hey, Mr.Fox!! Serving with FBC Malakoff was such a blast, and they indeed left their mark on Club Pope. We can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for the rest of the summer!

Guernsey

Cornerstone Church knocked it out of the park at Guernsey this last week! We had an overall high of twenty-two kids this week, which was terrific. The team members were so involved and engaging with the kids this past week. No kid was bored at any station! This week, the team did skits for the kids as their Bible story. They did some pretty phenomenal skits that included Pharaoh and the terrible plagues, an epic battle reenactment of David and Goliath, Jesus calming the terrible storm, and Jesus’s crucifixion on the cross for our sins. The kids loved seeing these stories unfold in real-time and absorbed the stories as they were being told. At the songs station, the kids enjoyed lots of Little Sally Walker, freeze dance, hot potato, and, of course, Church Clap, a fan fave. At the epic crafts station, the kids got to use their creative abilities to create awesome frogs (to represent the plagues), a cross-stained glass page, slingshots and stones, stormy sea scenes, and cross-beaded necklaces to remember forever what Jesus did for us on that cross. At the games station, the kids enjoyed some nine square, lots of memory relays, and some other super fun games. The team lovingly taught all of the kiddos how to play nine square, and by the looks of it, it was an absolute blast for everyone. Overall, Cornerstone Church did an amazing job hanging with all the cool kids at G-Street this week.

Rosamond

Rosamond had an absolutely amazing Week 3! Thanks be to God and His handpicked missionaries from Pleasant View. The team this week brought with them an incredible array of arts and crafts like sewn and stuffed whales for swallowing Jonahs, mosaic furnaces of fire with little Radshacks and Meshachs and Abednegos, finger-painted lions that God would not allow to devour Daniel, and rain sticks for flooding the Earth. Not only did the children adore making these works of art and taking them home, but they also loved acting out the Bible stories each craft represented. When I would quiz the children at the end of each day, it was obvious that engaging with God's word on so many levels really helped the meaning of each story stick. But what I personally loved more than the incredible activities was the heartfelt intentionality with which each team member met each child. It can be difficult to describe the authentic relationships and genuine connections fostered daily. I could talk about the eye contact, the laps that were sat in, and the never-ending piggyback rides, but it would not do it justice. Just know that when there is never a child all alone, when children are excited to see their brand new friends, and when 10-year-olds are trying to learn sign language to communicate with someone they've only just met, it is obvious that God is at work. Especially when certain older boys who had yet to come this summer because "I'm too old and too cool for Bible club" wanted to come because their little siblings were raving about how much fun they were having; that's when you know that God is on the move. Pray that God keeps moving! Thanks again to Pleasant View for a phenomenal week 3. Thanks to everyone at home for supporting us in prayer. And thanks be to God, for He is good! See you next week. ;)

Kendrick

Week 3 at Kendrick was so exciting and fun-filled; serving alongside Indianola Church was an amazing privilege and we got to minister to all the kids of Kendrick. Indianola was so engaging with the children of Memphis, and there was never a dull moment. The Crafts, Songs, Games, and Bible stories they had throughout the week were so much fun, and the kids enjoyed every minute of it. In songs, they sang worship music that really involved the kids, getting them to sing and dance along; the beauty was evident, and the Lord was with us every day this week. The excitement of the kids when they were doing a scavenger hunt in games was also evident to me. Not to mention the awesome salvation bracelets and crystal clear explanation of the gospel in Bible Story. Crafts were also a beautiful thing to be a part of as they had many coloring sheets and the artistry of the kids' paper airplanes, drawings, and pretty bracelets. Overall, I was so blessed to be able to work at Kendrick with Indianola. Please remember all staff in prayers as we are headed towards the halfway mark of our summer.

Week 2: Silverdale Baptist, Fellowship Bible Church, Broadriver Association, Northwest Bible Church, Wylie Baptist Church, FBC Damascus, Central Baptist, & Forest Hills Baptist

6/17/2024

Whittier

This week, Whittier had the blessing of having Fellowship Bible Church from Tennessee. We couldn’t have asked for a more joy-filled week. On Friday, we had a high of 47 kids come to Bible Club. This week, the kids were able to play water games every day at games to cool off from the heat. They played sharks and minnows with wet sponges and under relays. In Bible story, the kids were taught 4 different truths that they remembered over the week. They were also told bible stories, such as Peter walking on water. Over at songs, the younger ones played hot potato, the older girls played Sally Walker and the older boys did a bible boot camp. Finally, the kids had an amazing time doing a scavenger hunt and putting their findings in their own boxes for crafts. They were able to color their box and put stickers on it. Alongside that, the kids got a little mirror to remind themselves that they are made beautifully and perfectly in God’s image. Fellowship Bible cared for and loved the kids so well all week. It was beautiful to hear stories of how individuals connected with the kids and saw God’s powerful hand working all week. We serve the most intentional and loving God, who deserves all the glory. We thank you Fellowship Bible for bringing the love of Jesus to Memphis this week!!

Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving”.

Johnson

What an amazing second week of Bible Club! It was warm. It was hot. And club was on fire with the love of Christ! We had Silverdale in town this week, and they never failed to bring the fun and hype to Bible Club each day. We saw our kid numbers in the usual mid-twenties most of the week, but we had our summer high on Friday Fun Day with 37 kiddos! Each day showed lots of love and fun and energy and ended with lots of kids who didn’t want to leave club. At Bible story station, the kids learned different biblical life lessons such as taking care of your body as God's temple, what it means to choose to make good decisions and how it pleases God, and about putting good thoughts and actions and words in our minds and hearts so we can be able to show those same good things to others. At Songs station, the kids loved being able to not only sing music but make it. The team brought homemade guitars, drums, and maracas to accompany the songs they sang. It was truly a rockin' time at Songs. Gamess station got to see some classics like Duck–Duck goose and soccer but also enjoyed learning Capture the Flag. It was such a great week at Johnson, and a huge shoutout to Silverdale. Thank you so much for loving those kids and serving this week!

Leahy’s

Welcome back to Week 2 of Street Reach Leahy's 2024! And what a wonderful week we have had with Wylie Baptist Church. Watching the willingness of Wylie's missionaries to witness to the children - walking them through the Roman Road to Salvation - was such a blessing to behold. Anyone could clearly see the kindness and care put forward for the kids. It was evidenced by cool crafts like flycatchers, calendars, and light switch covers. It shined through the songs they sang. It was apparent in the games they planned to play, like pool noodle tag! It was obvious that great time and effort were put forth in the planning processes to serve the Lord with their utmost. And for that, I give thanks both to Wylie Baptist and God! I am reminded of Colossians 3:23: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord." And clearly, God has rewarded that work with 19 children with which to witness for His name's sake. My favorite part of the week was seeing the children listen and learn how God carries us through the good times and the bad, the easy and difficult moments. The questions the kids were asking. The intentionality with which they were being answered. What a way to end week 2! Continue praying for the Bible Club Leahy's and God's children here, and I'll see you next week.

- Mackenzie & Judy

Jackson

What a great second week at Jackson! Big thank you to FBC Damascus for making the trek all the way from Virginia to serve with us this week in Memphis. Damascus was so well prepared; they brought it if you could think of it. This week was so awesome. The community kids had a great time. They loved the puppets acting out the Bible stories, including Moses and the fiery altar, Jesus calming the storm, and Jesus’ resurrection. The crafts station was also well coordinated, with great foam floating boats to calm the storm, some whales with opening mouths, and Jonah inside. The songs station was lively, with real guitars, a cajon drum, and fun sing-along songs. The kiddos love instruments, and they even get the opportunity to strum along with the guitars and tap along on the drum. The community kids and everyone loved the “throw up” song when we threw our hands to the Lord. It was awesome to hear everyone singing it as they walked through the streets, taking the kids back home after club. It was an amazing week; we had a high of 30 kids this week, which is a testament to how fun club was! All the kids invited their siblings, friends, and cousins to come and join us at Bible Club. We should all follow this example and spread the good news to everyone! Thanks again to our friends from FBC Damascus for a great week at Jackson!

National

The excitement was amazing as we kicked off the second week of Bible Club this summer! The kids were ready to come back, learn about Jesus, and have loads of fun. A heartfelt shoutout to everyone from Forest Hill Baptist Church for making the journey all the way from Nashville. We deeply appreciate your dedication and love for the children of National. This week, we welcomed 21 new kids and can’t wait to see even more join us in the coming weeks. The children had a blast with the songs this week; they played games like Poison Rhythm, Musical Hula Hoops, and Hot Potato! However, they especially loved that there was a live guitarist! The kids played games like capture the flag, kickball, and soccer in the games station! The kids had the best time ever, especially the older boys! Every time you pass the games station, there is always fun and laughter! Crafts and Bible Story complemented each other beautifully. The stories each day were about how we sin and how God saved us, and the crafts matched the stories day by day. The kids loved the crafts and Bible stories! Overall, they loved it all! One of the best parts had to be lunch! Every day this week, we would chant, “We love Jesus, yes we do, we love Jesus, how about you?” And the kids at other stations would join in! The kids had a blast, and so did the team!

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10 NIV

Kado

Happy Street Reach Summer 2024! Week 2 of Bible Club is extra special as Club Kado opens for the first time this season. Not even a full year old, our humble club site kicked off in a big way thanks to God and His wonderful workers from Silverdale Baptist Church. "The harvest is plentiful" Jesus knew what He was talking about when He said these words, as evidenced by the 18 individual children who made their way over to Club Kado. If not for the obedience of the missionaries from Silverdale and their willingness to answer God's call here to Memphis, then our club would not have been open, and these children would not have learned about Jesus and His love this week. That is why Jesus continues with " but the workers are few." The workers were NOT few this week! Despite language barriers, not being open last week, and having a new site still less than a year old, the mission team diligently devoted themselves to following Christ into the streets and loving everyone they could meet. Praying with the elderly on walking routes, bringing snacks to children who could not leave home, and communicating through Google translate with parents who spoke español solamente. Seeing the Lord reward such faithfulness and answer prayers was a blessing by sending an average of 10 children each day, with a high of 16 at once on Friday! However, what is more powerful than numbers is the moments that are shared with each child. I loved seeing God's people and His children sit down together to play the drums, make salvation bracelets, discuss "What Would Jesus Do" in many situations, and learn to fill our lives with Good things from God. Thank you, LORD, for the many smiles and memories made at Club Kado this week! And special thanks to the team from Silverdale for an excellent foundation for our Summer of Bible Club. Kado will NOT be running next week, so pray for these children. And, of course, "ask the Lord of the Harvest to send workers into His harvest field." Signing off. And in case I don't see you, good morning, good evening, and good night.

- Kaden

Pope

P-O-P-E! THAT IS WHERE WE WANNA BE!! We had Silverdale Baptist Church join us at club this week, and they showed up and out this week at Pope! With a high of 27 kids this week, they loved our kids so well with kindness, intentionality, and encouragement. This week, the music station was a fan favorite, especially with our older boys. They made homemade instruments each day and could play them along to the music! They made maracas out of spoons, guitars out of tissue boxes, tambourines out of bowls, drums out of containers, and more! The week's song was “Bless Me” by Maverick City, which will be on repeat for the rest of the summer! At games, the kids learned how to play UNO, which has become their favorite game to play together. It is so sweet to see all the kids learning to be a kind team member and work with others when playing games! Bible story held the attention of all of the kids this week! Each day, they had a key theme: kindness and “Garbage In, Garbage Out.” The kids had so many good questions by the end of the week! I cannot wait to see how their seeds grow throughout the summer! Silverdale also had an awesome craft station! They made lightbulb handprints that included glow sticks, handmade binoculars, WWJD bracelets, and so much more! Thank you so much for investing in our kids and loving them so well! After the best first two weeks, we cannot wait to see what week three (and the rest of the summer) has in store!

Guernsey

Broadriver Association and Central were hanging out on G-Street with all the cool kids! The kids loved the fun relays our awesome games station put on, and they even got to cool off with some spray bottle games. We had a high of seventeen kiddos this week at Guernsey, and they were each loved so well this week. At Bible Story, the kids learned about temptation and how to avoid it. They also learned how dearly loved they are by God, and the team members did a phenomenal job modeling that love for them this week. They even made cheerleader megaphones at crafts to do a chant, “SATAN STINKS,” which the kids got a huge kick out of. We had an epic song leader who did all the best Bible club songs ever, such as little red wagon, Tarzan, Jesus Loves Me, Sticky Moose, and Happy Birthday (we had a couple of kiddos who had birthdays this week along with a leader!), and Lilly of the Valley. Our crafts station also did quite a phenomenal job, allowing the kids to express their artistic capabilities through door hangers, megaphones, little wooden crosses, and many felt color sheets. The kids absolutely loved that the games station had bubble machines, hula hoops, challenging relays, and their favorite, connect 4. The team members meticulously taught the kiddos to play Connect 4, which they absolutely loved this week. Broadriver and Central Baptist did an astounding job this week at Guernsey, and we are very thankful for their preparation and dedication to our amazing kiddos.

Week 1: Johnson Ferry Baptist, Bridge Christian, Crestwood Church, Concord Baptist, South Community Church, & Loudon Co. Association

6/10/2024

Johnson

If you ask us who we are, We are Johnson, and we know it! What an amazing week to kick off Bible Club Johnson! All the way from Georgia, we had a group from Johnson Ferry come to town and bring all the fun and hype to Bible Club. Every team member made it his or her mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus for these kids, and they did a great job. The kids at club got to hear and see many classic Bible stories, including the Prodigal Son. Crafts station was a huge hit, too, with several crafts the kids got to wear. There were salvation bracelets and cool decorated visor hats all across club! Song station brought so much hype with classic Bible club songs and various others, including YMCA. And there were some very interesting games of soccer going on at games. And the kids weren’t the only ones hearing about Jesus. On several occasions, the team stopped, prayed, and shared the gospel with community members. One moment that really sticks out from this week was Tuesday; we had an older boy who had never been to club before and was very shy and timid. But by the end of the week, he couldn’t wait to come to club and experience not only fun and excitement but also the love of Christ. You couldn’t have asked for a better start to Bible Club 2024. Thank you so much, Johnson Ferry, for an amazing week!

Rosamond

This first week at Rosamond was great! Thank you, Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, for a great start to the summer! Our week high was 27 kids! We also had 12 kids on Monday, which may seem like a low number of kids, but there were many kids for the first day of Bible Club! Everyone got to be one-on-one with the kids and learned about Jesus! The kids had a fun time in all the stations this week. The kids stayed engaged in the Bible story and loved all the crafts. The kids learned about Jesus and could tell me what they had learned in Bible Story that day. Johnson Ferry did an amazing job of ensuring that people of all ages could understand the Bible's story. All of the kids loved the craft station this week! They made salvation bracelets, foam sun visors, and some really cool cross necklaces. Games were a great station for all of the Bible Club kids. They enjoyed playing games like Limbo, Sharks, and Minnows. The older girls loved playing jump rope! Overall, it was a great week, and all the Rosamond kids had fun at Bible Club. I would like to thank Johnson Ferry again for coming to Street Reach and making this such an amazing week to start the summer! Can't wait for the rest of the summer!

Whittier

Week 1 of bible club here at Street Reach Memphis kicked off with South Community Church from Tulsa, Oklahoma. We couldn’t have asked for a more love-filled week at Whittier. Our high for the week was 57 kids, and a total of 86 different kids stepped onto Bible Club Whittier within 5 days! The Lord worked in more ways than we could possibly imagine. Throughout the week, the kids learned many bible stories, such as splitting the Red Sea and The Resurrection story. Over at games, the older boys competed in relay races, and the littles played duck, duck, goose. South Community had the opportunity to go to the laundromat in the afternoon and invited a family to Bible Club. Two boys were dropped off at Bible Club, Whittier, the next day. They had so much fun that they didn’t want to go home when their mom arrived. On Friday, that same mom sang Lord, I lift your name on high for all 57 kids at bible club dismissal. Through this, everyone couldn’t help but witness the Lord’s abundance of grace and mercy. What I thought was so sweet this week was watching team members on SCC slowly connect with kids and fall in love with them. I can’t thank SCC enough for the love they poured into the kids at Whittier.

Leahy’s

Serving alongside Crestwood Baptist Church this week at Leahy’s was a blessing! We kicked off summer 2024 with a bang! Our highest number for the week was twenty kids at bible club! Every child left club with hearts full of love and minds full of the gospel!! Every station was full of smiles, laughs, and tons of energy! In Bible Story, they learned about kindness, trusting in Jesus, and how to love one another. They let the kids use their Bibles to find the bible verses! Throughout the week, the kids had different bible verses to remember. Such as John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” It warmed our hearts getting to hear our kids say bible verses at club every day! Crafts was a huge hit this week, and the kids asked for extra time to complete their amazing crafts! They made hearts of their hands, decorated a flowerpot and planted flowers, made crosses out of tissue paper, tie dye hearts out of coffee filters, and friendship bracelets. Songs were making noise throughout club all week long! They sang songs about being wonderfully made and God’s amazing power. Also, they had intense games of hot potato with all age groups! The games station was full of smiles, sweat, and sun! Duck, duck, goose, sharks and minnows, parachute games, and soccer were the huge hits of the week! Thank you again to the wonderful people who came and loved our kids this week!

National

It was so exciting to get Bible Club started this summer! The kids were ready to come back out to learn about Jesus and have LOADS of fun! Shoutout to everyone from Concord Baptist Church for making the trip all the way from Alabama to dedicate another week to National and our families. We had 57 different kids come throughout the week, and we cannot wait for even more to come as the weeks continue. The kids danced from Songs all the way to Games, singing new songs and oldies, such as “Priceless Treasure.” Undoubtedly, the kids were told how loved, special, and known they were by God. And then, at Games, the kids played some of their favorites, like Duck Duck Goose, Categories, soccer, Jump the Creek (long jump for the older boys!), and tag, to name a few. The crafts and Bible story stations went hand-in-hand as the kids created lions for Daniel and the Lion’s Den, Joseph’s coat, crosses, and so much more! The kids were very proud and excited about their creations, and it was really encouraging hearing the kids talk about how they are children of God and can always rely on Him. We are so proud of our kids and their continual growth. Seeing them get so excited to see each other and have so much contentment and peace at Bible Club is special! The summer is just starting, and we cannot wait to see what more the Lord will do! We do not want to take a single day for granted. “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:23-24 ESV

Jackson

We had such a wonderful first week at Bible Club Jackson. We had a high of twenty-three kids, and they all had so much fun! The Johnson Ferry team did so well kicking off the summer for Street Reach with some fun parachute games for the littles and soccer games for the older boys. Through the cross necklaces, caps, and salvation bracelet crafts Ferry provided for the kids, they had fun making them and learned more about Jesus Christ. At songs, we danced our hearts out from playing Little Sally Walker, freeze dance, and conga lines. At bible stories, the kids learned about Nicodemus and what it means to be born again, the prodigal son, how much our Father loves us, and many more. It was so sweet to see the team get so close with the kids as the week went on. All the hugs, piggyback rides, and silly dances made the kids feel so loved and even touched my heart. We are sad to see Johnson Ferry leave the first week but are so blessed they were the ones to start this summer off so well for us. Through your prayers, we are excited to see numbers grow at Jackson and to be able to spread the Word to not only the kids but everyone in the community.

Kendrick

Week 1 at Kendrick was a fun, successful experience with South Community Church. Their loving, Christ-like attitudes were so evident throughout this entire week. They were very prepared to minister to these kids and were so intentional with building long-lasting relationships. Personally, I enjoyed that South Community had hand-written letters for the children, which helped build those relationships with the community. Also, the inclusion of relay races, double dutch, and a different take on “Duck, Duck, Goose,” which was called “Monkey Monkey Tiger,” where you make monkey noises and tiger noises, these Bible Club ideas were a phenomenal way to keep the kids engaged and was so much fun. Another great thing was the well-planned bible stories that were presented and taught with detail that went along with the craft for the day (this really engaged the children). Not to mention the amazing crafts, including salvation bracelets, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abindigo coloring sheets, and Moses coloring sheets. It has been an honor to serve alongside South Community, and I would love to see them again next year. Please keep Street Reach ministries and all of the volunteers in your prayers, as summer is just now kicking off. We are so excited for the upcoming weeks and can not wait for what God has in store for Street Reach, the volunteering Church, and most importantly, the Bible Club kids.

Isaiah 58:12

“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

Pope

What an amazing start to our summer at Pope! This week, Loudon County brought the fun at Bible Club with Bible stories, crafts, music, and games. With a high of twenty-seven kiddos, we saw so many returning faces and many new ones! We started the week with a rainy day, but that did not stop us from having all the fun! We danced and sang in the rain until it was time to dismiss routes! At Bible story throughout the week, we learned about kindness through a puppet show, the importance of prayer, the importance of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection (where we shouted “Hosanna!” as loud as we possibly could!), and so much more!! At crafts, the week's highlight was making toss-and-catch game sets, hand-held fans, and potting plants! I cannot wait to see how the kids' flowers grow throughout the summer!! Music brought all of the fun with songs such as “The Fruit of the Spirit,” “King of the Jungle,” “Church Clap,” “I Thank God” and so many more! They even did karaoke and freeze dance, which was a huge hit, especially with the older boys! Games brought laughter that could be heard all across club! They did parachute games, obstacle courses, soccer, and so much more! Gracie and I could not have asked for a better team full of love, intentionality, and passion to kick off the summer with!! We cannot wait for what week 2 has to offer!

Treadwell

What an amazing week at Treadwell this week! We saw God moving every single day! Thank you so much to Johnson Ferry Baptist Church for coming all the way from Georgia to love and serve this community. The team came in with the attitude and heart to meet the kids where they were and give them a fun and safe environment to play and learn about Jesus. We had a high of 34 this week, thanks to God’s sovereignty. This group of middle schoolers was excited each and every day to see these kids and missed them when they weren’t there. One of my favorite things to witness this week was all the kids singing about how God is their superhero at songs. Even the kids who didn’t love dancing and singing joined in on this song, and it was just a beautiful moment to hear the team and kids singing praises to the Lord.  The kids had an amazing time making visors, cross necklaces, and salvation bracelets. This team taught the kids about salvation, being a good friend, and that God never gives up on us. They related these stories in ways the kids could understand, and I think they gained much insight. I cannot wait to see how much they grow throughout the summer. Until next time, TREADWELL, don’t forget that we love you, God loves you, and there is nothing you can do to change that!
